Avatar: The Last Airbender
Avatar takes place in a world where many people are gifted with abilities to manipulate one of the four elements, which are fire, earth, water and air. This is called “bending”. Each nation is named after the element that its citizens can control, for example, The Fire Nation. There is a messianic figure known as the Avatar who is able to control all of the elements. After the Avatar dies, they are reincarnated into a new person. One hundred years ago, an airbending monk named Aang escaped the Fire Nation’s genocide of his people and was never seen again. Discovered frozen in ice by two Inuit waterbenders, they begin a journey to help him access his full powers as the avatar. The show aired from February 21st, 2005 to July 19, 2008 [1].

During his absence, the Fire Nation had waged war upon the other nations and managed to completely wipe out the pacifistic Air Nomads. It fell to Aang, the last airbender and the Avatar, to end the War by mastering the other three elements and defeatingFire Lord Ozai [3]."
